Solskjaer op forces Man Utd into market return

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is expected to push through plans to bring a new striker to Old Trafford this summer.

After Ole Gunnar Solskjaer underwent more knee surgery this week, the need to add a new forward to his squad has crystallised for Ferguson.

With Louis Saha also prone to injury and Alan Smith still working his way back to full fitness, Ferguson would appear to be overly reliant on Wayne Rooney, although the United manager is hopeful of making another addition to his squad.
