New Valencia signing Roberto Soldado is delighted with his move to the Mestalla.

The former Getafe striker joined Valencia last week.

"It's clear that I have come to a great club and the first thing I have in mind is to earn a spot on the team. I hope my work goes well then that can be noticed by Del Bosque," he told a press conference.

"It's not a burden, I know that Villa has been a great player, but the people who have chosen me know what I can contribute...

"I've always said that every year you have to keep improving, I'm doing that and my goal is to exceed that figure of 16 goals next season."
