Roberto Soldado is expected to be handed the No9 shirt by Real Madrid.

"Every forward from the juniors dreams about having that number, but I only think about working and maybe I can play far better with the No9. It is my dream since I arrived here at 13 years of age. But also it is a responsibility. I want to score the goals that this shirt deserves," said the former Osasuna star.

"I know that [coach] Bernd Schuster wanted to sign me last year, but now we are both at Real Madrid. I must show him that I can play in this team and I only hope not to let him down and to score many goals for him."
