Soldado buoyed by Eriksen adjustment at Tottenham

Roberto Soldado admits he was surprised by Christian Eriksen's rapid adjustment to the Premier League.

The Danish playmaker made his Tottenham debut in Saturday's 2-0 win over Norwich City, providing an assist for Gylfi Sigurdsson's first goal, while producing a quality display in his 71 minutes on the White Hart Lane pitch.

Spurs striker Soldado was thrilled with the former Ajax man's showing and is confident he will become a top quality player in North London.

"He is a brilliant player. It's incredible that he has got up to this level already in his first game in English football," Soldado said.

"It's great for him, for the team. He is a player who is capable of improving all of us.

"He is a player that makes everything look easy and that's good for us. Today [Saturday] he made the difference, he's a player that can support us in everything we do. He can offer us a lot of passes to everyone who plays in attack for Spurs."
