Santiago Solari is delighted to be off the mark with Real Madrid Castilla.

The former midfielder has taken charge of Castilla and enjoyed victory for their first preseason friendly against Gimnástica Segoviana on the weekend.

Solari said: "These games help us improve our fitness competitively, it's the first pre-season friendly after only a few training sessions. It'll also help everyone to get to know each other better, both the players amongst themselves and the coaching team.

“Every day is special at this club. It's a joy and an honour to still be representing the club and with such a special and emblematic team like Castilla. I'm very happy."
