Newcastle United icon Nobby Solano has urged his old club not to get carried away with their flying start to the season.
Solano urges Newcastle to keep their feet firmly on the ground.
The Peruvian winger, currently at Hartlepool, said: "Newcastle have had a good start but they have to be careful. I don't want to be negative but we saw Blackpool and West Brom start well last season and were fighting relegation at the end. There perhaps aren't the big names and the big players there, but the key to success is every one pulling in the same direction.
"The squad isn't very big but they'll have a lot of confidence after their start.
"It's difficult to win trophies at Newcastle, hopefully one day these fans will get the chance to win something."
