Sochaux are seeking talks with Portsmouth about a deal for John Utaka.

The Nigeria international is wanted by Sochaux and they are keen to close a deal quickly ahead of French rivals.

Nancy, Lorient and Valenciennes are also keen, but Sochaux hope to take advantage of Pompey having Premier League permission to sell players immediately by striking terms over Utaka in the coming days.
