Sochaux forward Charlie Davies is in contention to make the USA’s World Cup squad.
The 23-year old is recovering from injuries he sustained in a car accident back in October and despite the fact he will not play any of the remaining matches in France’s Ligue 1, USA boss Bob Bradley confirms he is still a realistic chance of making the plane for South Africa.
“We are all very proud of the determination and the attitude that Charlie has displayed throughout his rehabilitation process," Bradley said.
"It has always been understood that the timing of his return to playing would be difficult to predict. We are continuing to keep track of his progress as we look to make the final decisions on the training camp roster for next month."
