Mat Ryan admits it would be a dream come true to win the Belgian Pro League title in just his first season with Club Brugge.
The 21-year old Australian goalkeeper joined the Blauw-Zwart from A-League club Central Coast Mariners in May 2013 and has taken the number one mantle at the Jan Breydelstadion, starting in all 28 of the side's league games so far this term.
Brugge currently sit second on the table, four points behind leaders Standard Liege, and Ryan is hoping they can make even more inroads prior to the championship playoffs later in the campaign.
"The other week we were 10 points behind Standard but they lost last weekend and we beat them (1-0) on Sunday," he told SBS.
"The way the playoffs work that will then get halved. So they may well have just a two point lead on us come the last 10 games - and that's nothing, so it's well and truly on for us now.
"It would be huge for me to win a title in my debut season and I'm hopeful that will be the case."
