The Australian national team will not back down from a mighty challenge when they contest the FIFA World Cup next year.
The Socceroos have been drawn in a ghastly group consisting of reigning champions Spain, runners-up Holland and the ever-improving Chile but Bayer Leverkusen winger Kruse insists he and his national teammates will not shy away from the enormous task.
"I just had a feeling we were going to get a tough group," he told Bundesliga.com.
"It's unlucky and it's a very daunting task but there's no better way to create a better profile for football in Australia than beating some of these big nations so that's what we are going to try and do.
"It's difficult but it's football and they are only human and hopefully we can do a good job."
