Australia has been drawn into one of the toughest groups for next year's World Cup finals, with Germany, Serbia and Ghana. The draw for Group D sees Australia's matches as follows: v. Germany, Sunday 13th June v. Ghana, Saturday 19th June v. Serbia, Wednesday 23rd June
Socceroos coach Pim Verbeek said he wasn't too perturbed by the draw which has already been described as the 'Group of Death'.
"Could have been better, could have been worse,'' Verbeek told SBS. "Germany's one of the best teams in the world - it's a great opponent for the first game, Ghana is very strong and Serbia beat France. Every game is full of challenges.
"We have a good record against Ghana, we've never lost against them.''
