Australian national team boss Ange Postecoglou said he was looking forward to working closely with Adam Sarota.
Postecoglou selected the 25-year old FC Utrecht midfielder in his 23-man Socceroos squad for next month's international friendly with Ecuador in London and was eager to put him through his paces.
Sarota recently returned to club football from a knee injury sustained last year and after making eight Dutch Eredivisie appearances, alongside fellow Socceroo Tommy Oar, is ready to step back onto the international scene according to Postecoglou.
"I watched Adam and Tommy play against Ajax when I was there (in Holland) and you can tell he's slowly getting back into things," Postecoglou said.
"He's very highly rated at Utrecht. It's great to see him playing regular football."
Sarota has played for Australia on three occasions, making his debut against Wales in August 2011.
