Everton hero Ian Snodin says targeting the top four is realistic for the Toffees this season.

Snodin wrote in the Liverpool Echo: "I reckon that the top four is a realistic chance for Everton. I'm not getting carried away because the likes of Tottenham and even Crystal Palace who are up there now will be among as many as 10 clubs this season thinking they've got a chance of getting in.

"I just think we've got a great opportunity this year and a good squad and if we keep progressing we've got as good a chance as anybody from outside the usual group.

"There's a chance for somebody. Who'd have predicted that Chelsea would have struggled like they have done? Not me."
