Everton hero Ian Snodin admits James McCarthy is proving him wrong.
Snodin wrote in the Liverpool Echo: "I must admit that I feared we had paid over the odds for James McCarthy. I hadn't seen much of the midfielder before he arrived at Goodison Park wasn't entirely sure what to expect.
"I felt the £13m we gave Wigan Athletic for his services was too much.
"But it now looks like money well spent.
"McCarthy has been terrific since coming to the club and his performance against Hull City on Saturday was superb."
