Robert Snodgrass has rubbished claims West Ham teammate Lucas Perez refused to take the pitch at Everton on Sunday.

It was reported Perez rejected the opportunity to warm up for the second-half - which has since been denied.

Snodgrass told talkSPORT: “I don't know what happened.

“Lucas was sitting behind me on the bench so I don't know about what is being said.

“I was warming up for maybe 15 or 20 minutes before that as well, so I don't know what happened.

“But I'll tell you something, he's a terrific lad.

“He's a great lad to have about the place, he comes in every day with a smile on his face and works really hard.

“So listen, I don't know what's happened, but it would be very unlike him if that's the case because he's a good guy and he's very good for the squad."
