Imminent Manchester United signing Alexis Sanchez has slammed a scandal story in yesterday's press.
While some outlets have chosen to focus on certain aspects of the deal, including Sanchez's prospective wages, others have written pieces about the 29-year-old's life off the field and his relationship with girlfriend Mayte Rodriguez.
And, responding to one article written on Sunday, Sanchez took to Twitter with his first social media post since January 2.
The short statement read: "Yesterday came out a fake story in The Sun about my personal life, and it has been said time ago that I had a son. That is false, too. I'm tired of denying fake news. Thanks and I ask you please to respect my private life."
Meanwhile, Sir Alex Ferguson was the first to greet the departing Arsenal striker at Old Trafford this morning:
