Alvaro Morata has allayed the fears of the Chelsea faithful by posting a photo on Instagram and Facebook with the caption: I have no time to lose! Working hard towards recovery! Crystal Palace (target emoji)
The Spain international was pulled in the first half of the Blues 1-0 loss to Manchester City on Saturday and an original MRI scan, carried out by the Spain Football Federation, diagnosed him with a grade two hamstring tear.
Chelsea have since done their own scans on their £70m signing and the results were far more positive, downgrading the injury to a mere strain.
Fortunately for Morata, he has the international break to recover and he could feature in the Blues next Premier League match against Crystal Palace on October 14.
