Smithy stars with Man Utd players for Comic Relief

Funnyman James Corden has filmed a sketch with Manchester United's stars for this year's Comic Relief.

The Daily Mail says in his role from Gavin & Stacey, Smithy puts aside his loyalty to West Ham to take charge of the Man U squad, giving players such as Michael Carrick and Wes Brown a training session they will never forget.

Last year Smithy gave a hilarious pep talk to the England team in a sketch for Comic Relief.

Smithy ribbed the stars including David Beckham and Peter Crouch on everything from their goal scoring celebrations to their hair cuts.

He tells striker Crouch: "When I look at everything tells me you should be rubbish at football - but you're brilliant because of that robotic dancing."

David James is taken to task about his ever-changing hairstyle, Ashley Cole is urged to get wife Cheryl to act 'like a proper footballer's wife', Frank Lampard is told to pass the ball to Steven Gerrard occasionally and John Terry is ordered to stop crying after he misses penalties.

Smithy then tells Beckham, that because he went to the same school as his little sister, they are "practically family".
