Bournemouth fullback Adam Smith believes his side were outmuscled during Saturday's 4-0 loss to Burnley.
The Clarets registered more tackles and clearances on the way to their first Premier League win or the season.
Smith told the Daily Echo: "They played to their strengths, so fair play to them. We didn't do the dirty side and got punished for it.
"I don't think we got enough second balls and let a lot of crosses come in. We didn't even get the second balls on the crosses. I felt it was disappointing and we did not do the rough side of it.
"We can do that side but it's doing it at places like Burnley. We can do it at home and other places. It's just certain games and I don't know what it is.
"It was disappointing because we had a good start to the season and we wanted to build on it."
