Manchester United defender Chris Smalling feels the strike-pairing of Danny Welbeck and Wayne Rooney can fire England to glory.
Welbeck secured a famous victory in the thriller against Sweden on Friday when he flicked home Theo Walcott's cross for the winner - and Smalling believes a Rooney-Welbeck partnership will keep the attacking momentum going.
"It has been a great pairing for United," he told the Sunday Mirror. "They link up really well for us - and they get on really well.
"Danny has seen Wayne play a lot while he has been growing up.
"He knows how he plays - he's seen his movement.
"He's learned a lot off him at United.
"Danny's played up top and Wayne's played just behind and has fed him those balls. They are on the same wavelength."
