Manchester United defender Chris Smalling was pleased with the manner in which he and his teammates were able to fight back on two occasions to force a 2-2 draw with Tottenham on Sunday.
Kyle Walker and Sando gave Spurs the lead in both the 18th and 54th minutes but Wayne Rooney was on target near the half-hour and hour-marks to give the Red Devils a share of the points.
Despite the inability to clinch a win for the second game in a row, Smalling felt it was a positive outcome for United who dropped to eighth on the Premier League table.
"I think today was probably a fair result," he told MUTV.
"Given the result last week, we knew that coming here against a top-five club would be tough. I think we considered Cardiff two points dropped, whereas today might be a well-earned point when we look back on it.
"We were going for it in the second half and the manger threw on some more attacking players, and, to be fair, they threw on some attacking players as well. We were both going for it - we just needed that little bit of luck to get those three points."
