Bartosz Slusarski has backed West Brom's pursuit of fellow Pole Radoslaw Majewski, the Groclin Dyskobolia midfielder.

The sticking point is Groclin's reported asking price of around £2.3million, which Albion feel is too excessive.

Slusarski told the Birmingham Mail: "I know Radoslaw well and although we haven't spoken about this I know he would be successful in the Premier League.

"I'm sure he is aware of the interest and if he wants to call me then I will happily advise him to go to West Bromwich - not least as the English League is the best.

"Radoslaw is an excellent playmaker and a striker's dream to play with - he creates so much.

"He isn't the tallest player and needs to get a bit stronger but technically he is excellent and he's still young so he has the opportunity to develop.

"I was a little surprised he wasn't chosen for Euro 2008 but I think he will be better prepared for the World Cup, more so if he gets this move.

"There's no doubt he can be successful in the Premier League and with West Bromwich."
