Sky New Zealand has picked up broadcast rights for the Fifa Club World Cup, which is being played in Japan over the next 10 days, reports SportsPro.
Sky New Zealand will broadcast all Auckland City matches, as well as the final on 16th December.
The last-minute deal was struck between the broadcaster and the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC), which holds the rights for the territory.
OFC general secretary Tai Nicholas said: “Confirmation of the Fifa Club World Cup coverage comes hot on the heels of our media partner MP & Silva securing a deal to distribute the rights for the 2014 Fifa World Cup Brazil in all territories of Oceania, excluding New Zealand.
"This increased level of coverage can only be good for the game as it continues to grow in popularity within the Pacific region.”
