Rosenborg midfielder Per Ciljan Skjelbred wants a move to Newcastle United.

The Guardian says Toon have been watching the promising midfielder, but have not made a bid for the 21-year-old, according to the Norwegian club. Skjelbred, who turned down a contract offer from Liverpool as a teenager, is in favour of a move to St James' Park as long as the clubs can agree a fee.
