Skipper Brown pleased with Scotland improvement

Scotland captain Scott Brown admits he is happy with the way the national team is progressing under Gordon Strachan.

The Scots have had a fairly positive 2013 since Strachan replaced Craig Levein, winning four of eight internationals, including their past two World Cup qualifiers over Macedonia and Croatia.

Despite not being in the running for the tournament in Brazil next year, Brown is positive about the future for the Tartan Army as Strachan and his men prepare for Euro2016 qualifying which will kick off in September 2014.

"The outcome of the last game wasn't the best for us but this a chance to prove ourselves and show that we have moved on," said the Celtic skipper.

"We have got a different manager and we are setting up differently so we will see how it goes.

"We have been positive in training.

"We are trying to get in as many games as possible before we start the 2016 European Championship qualifiers next year. The more games the lads get, the better it is."
