Heart of Midlothian midfielder Rudi Skacel says he is prepared to stay with the embattled club.

The 32-year old Czech ace is out of contract at the end of the month and with the club in financial turmoil, could leave to free up some of the wage bill.

But Skacel insists that he wants to stay at Tynecastle provided he is a regular starter after beginning four of the past five league matches on the bench.

"I'm talking to Hearts. My priority is to stay," he posted on Twitter.

"I feel I can still help the club but you need to understand I do not wanna sit on the bench!"
