Sebastiano Siviglia has pleaded for forgiveness from Lazio fans after putting through his own net in their 1-1 draw with Torino.

"I apologise for my gesture, it was the wrong thing to do," said the defender after he celebrated the goal by challenging the complaining fans.

"It was instinctive and I humbly apologise. I am a passionate person and at times that means I don't think things through. We did not deserve a defeat, so at least we got a draw.

"The side is reacting well to its problems and I think we deserved the victory today. Lazio are a great squad with excellent forwards, so we are on the right track.

"I must say we cannot change everything overnight. We are reacting strongly and playing much better."
