Sissoko wants to deliver trophies to Juventus fans

Momo Sissoko is convinced Juventus can deliver some silverware to fans this season.

"I am concentrated when playing, so I don't really hear the reaction of the crowd," he told Tuttosport.

"My wife was in the stands and told me the fans were cheering me on. I'm very proud and hope to do well in a Juve jersey for the supporters, too.

"The team is stronger this season and everyone knows it. I'm targeting both the Scudetto and Champions League, as I cannot limit myself to focusing on only one and always want more. If we do well throughout the campaign, we can certainly win one of the two trophies."

Sissoko missed out on the 1-1 Serie A opener against Fiorentina due to a ban, but is back in action tonight against Udinese and on Wednesday in Europe with Zenit.

"It was disappointing not to be there, but the team played a good game in Florence and it was a shame we conceded that late equaliser. A point away to Fiorentina remains a good result.

"I get chills just thinking about the Champions League theme music," grinned the former Liverpool star.

"I arrived at Liverpool when the team had just won it, but I lost two years later in the Final against Milan. I have something to prove in this competition and hope to do so very, very soon."
