Watford's most famous supporter, Sir Elton John, will attend the Hornets opening round clash with Liverpool.

The world-renowned performer, who is a life-long supporter of the club, has been involved with Watford since for over forty years. John has been an owner, chairman and still has a stake in the club, as well as being the Hornets life president.

Silva revealed John called him this week to wish him good fortune for the season.

Silva recalled John saying: "'Good luck, you are a fantastic manager'. He said that for everyone! He's an amazing person."

"I spoke to him on the phone and I hope next week he will come here for the first match against Liverpool," said the 40-year-old.
