Sir Alex back at Old Trafford for Man Utd triumph

Sir Alex Ferguson took his seat in the director's box at Manchester United today to see his old team make hard work of defeating Crystal Palace.

It was Ferguson's first appearance at Old Trafford on matchday since last season's emotional retirement.

The game marked his successor, David Moyes' first home win as United manager and also the Premier League debuts of two Belgians.

Moyes signing Marouane Fellaini and Adnan Januzaj, who Ferguson worked to bring to United, both came on with 30 minutes to run.
