Sipi set for A-League debut with North Queensland Fury

Queensland State League star Lorenzo Sipi is on the verge of making his A-League debut with North Queensland Fury.

The 19-year old North Queensland Razorbacks defender is every chance of coming into the Fury line-up for the midweek clash with Melbourne Heart at Dairy Farmers Stadium tomorrow night.

Fury teammate David Williams said he was eagerly anticipating the debut of Sipi who he rates as a very exciting prospect.

"He's someone to watch," the striker told the Cairns Post. "He's a very skilful player, he's strong, he's fit and he's very direct which is what the coach really likes.

"I'm very excited to see him play and I can't wait for his debut because it will be a very important game for him and we'll be backing him 100 per cent to do the best he can."

10th-placed Fury take on the 6th-placed Heart tomorrow night at Dairy Farmers Stadium - kick-off is at 8:00pm local time (9:00 AEDT).
