Trevor Sinclair admits he is disappointed to be leaving Manchester City.
The winger is looking for a new club after being released by the Blues at the end of last season.
"I was really sad to leave City, as I was not as successful in my time there as I know I could have been," Sinclair told the Manchester Evening News.
"Out of all the clubs I have played for, I believe it's the first time I've left and not really won the fans over."
Sinclair did have his moments at City, scoring in derby victories over United in 2004 and 2006.
