Sinclair intent on kickstarting career with Aston Villa

For the first time in a few years, Aston Villa winger Scott Sinclair can't wait for the new season to begin.

The journeyman midfielder recently signed a four-year deal with Villa, and hopes to put a disappointing spell at Manchester City behind him.

Having previously spent time at 11 different clubs, including eight loan spells, Sinclair is relishing the stability afforded to him at Villa Park.

"I'm just so happy that I can finally kick-start my career again back at Villa," the 26-year-old told The Daily Mirror earlier this week.

"Now I'm settled I'm so happy to be at a club where I've signed a four-year-deal and I can just concentrate on training every day and playing every week hopefully.

"I've gone into previous seasons not really knowing what I'd be doing. Mentally that is quite de-stabilising because you're always unsure about where you're going to go.

"I'm enjoying this pre-season because I can have a laugh and a joke as long as I work hard, For me that's great because I haven't looked forward to a pre-season as much as this in a long time.

"My mindset is that I know I'm here and all I have to focus on is getting back to my best."
