Josip Simunic is backing Croatia teammate Luka Modric for great success at Tottenham.

Hertha Berlin defender Simunic said: "Modric will do very well in England, he's a great player. He will need time to adjust to the English game though. It's a bit different. The Croatian league is a good league but nowhere near as strong as England.

"A lot of players that come to England even from Germany or France need time to adjust and that's the same for Luka."
