Blackburn Rovers fullback Danny Simpson says new defensive coach Nigel Winterburn has had a positive impact.
"As a full-back he has given me a lot of advice," said Simpson, who joined Rovers at the start of last month on a season-long loan from Manchester United.
"But he has helped out the whole squad with his knowledge.
"We've looked back at tapes of how goals were conceded, and it's the little things he has picked up on that you don't realise when you're playing.
"So we had a good talk, we then took it onto the training pitch and it paid off at the weekend.
"We felt there was a big difference in the game against Fulham, so he has helped us a lot, and hopefully he can keep doing so.
"When you concede four goals in consecutive games, it's not a nice feeling, either as a player or for the fans.
"But we got three points on Saturday, we've moved up the table and confidence is back and things look brighter."
