Derby County boss Paul Simpson says West Bromwich Albion midfielder George Thorne is ready for his debut.

Thorne is being primed for his Derby debut against Forest this weekend.

Simpson said: "Last week was his best week of training with us, I thought he was excellent.

"I wouldn't have any fear if he had to go into the Forest game. He is a talented player."
