Simpson in no rush to skip out on Newcastle

Danny Simpson won't push for a Newcastle United departure, despite rejecting a new contract offer.

A Newcastle source said that Simpson was happy with life on Tyneside.

He revealed to the People: "Simpson is disappointed with his new offer but he has told the club that he will not be leaving in the January transfer window.

"He is happy at the club and his family are very settled on Tyneside.

"His current deal does not run out until the summer of 2013 and he will have another look at the situation at the end of this season."
