Simpson to miss Newcastle's final game of season

Danny Simpson has been ruled out of Newcastle United's final match of the Premier League season.

The Magpies are away at Everton on Sunday but will be without right-back Simpson who missed the weekend's loss to Manchester City and last week's win over Chelsea because of an ankle injury.

"He's got a bad ankle," manager Alan Pardew told the Evening Chronicle.

"He's got no chance for Everton. I think his chances are for next year now."
