Newcastle United fullback Danny Simpson doesn't expect to be sold next month.

Simpson is off contract in June.

Asked if he would still be part of Alan Pardew's plans in February, when the Europa League resumes after a winter break, Simpson told the Evening Chronicle: "Of course.

"It's a while away yet but if I have it my way, hopefully, I'll be playing in the next phase. I love playing in Europe. I'm enjoying every minute of it."
