Jay Simpson was delighted to get his first Premiership goal in West Brom's 2-2 draw with Hull City.
On-loan from Arsenal, the striker told the Albion website: "It's a great feeling to get off the mark in the Premier League.
"I've always wanted to play in this division and hopefully this goal is the first of many. I've come here and I've been playing every week.
"That's what football is all about and I want to be playing regularly. Albion have given me the chance and I'm taking it. The boys and the staff have really made me feel welcome here.
"The fans have been great to me as well, so it was a great chance to celebrate with them. We showed our character and everyone is happy with the point.
"Our home form is good and we need to pick points up away from home, which we've done today. Maybe we should be disappointed not to get all three.
"But the league is really close and if we can get a couple of wins together we can jump up the table."
