Fabio Simplicio says he's moved to Roma to win the Scudetto.
The Brazilian joined Roma from Palermo on a Bosman last month.
Simplicio said: "I am convinced that Roma are a very strong team and we can do even better than last year.
"We will start again with Inter from zero, beginning with the Italian Super Cup, which we want to win."
Simplicio was then asked if he is prepared to be David Pizarro's deputy in the Roma side.
"I didn't come to Roma to play at all costs. My first thought was that of making myself useful to the team and giving my best when Ranieri calls me to the cause.
"I have played in all the positions across midfield, in every role, so it won't be a problem.
"Ranieri is a great motivator. He has made a very good impression on me."
