Stoke City reserve goalkeeper Steve Simonsen insists he's happy at the Brit.

"Even if someone comes in for me, at the moment I'm very happy to stay here," the former Everton and Tranmere Rovers keeper told The Sentinel.

"I do want to fight for my place. I've had four or five fantastic years here at Stoke and I've got no intention of leaving.

"You never know when you might get a run in the side. It could be the very next game, or in 10 games from now, you just never know in football what might happen round the corner."
