Steve Simonsen is ready to battle with any new goalkeeper signing for No1 status at Stoke City.

"In the meantime, I'll just keep on doing what I do and hope that is good enough," Simonsen told The Sentinel.

"We know the manager is going to bring in another goalkeeper and when he does, I will fight for my place."
