Former Inter Milan coach Gigi Simoni has mocked the English press for their criticism of Napoli's performance at Manchester City.

Napoli were rapped for their defensive play.

But Simoni says: "Napoli must have a shield as a reference, of course. The team played a great game in Manchester, amazing.

"As usual, the British Press does not understand anything. The counter-attack has been the basis of our work for 50 years, and at Napoli this style of play works very well."
