Simon to depart Central Coast Mariners for Chunnam Dragons
Matt Simon has reached an agreement with Korean club Chunnam Dragons and will depart Central Coast Mariners next week.
The 25-year old has signed a three-year deal with the K-League outfit and is looking forward to making the move after he makes his last two appearances for the Mariners on New Year’s Eve and on January 4.
“I’ve had a lot of great memories at the Mariners. I’ve loved playing for the Club and I’ve loved playing for the fans.
“Since the start of the A-League the fans have been great to me and I can’t thank them enough. Hopefully I’ll get to play for them again when my time overseas comes to an end.”“It has always been a goal of mine to play overseas and this is an opportunity for me to take the next step in my career,” Simon said.
Mariners coach Graham Arnold backed the move of Simon as he feels it is a great opportunity for the striker who has netted more than 30 goals in just over 100 A-League appearances.
“Matty was coming off contract and he’s received a great offer from Korea. It’s a wonderful opportunity for him.”“I think it’s a great reward for a great bloke, a great Clubman and a fantastic footballer for the Mariners,” Arnold said.

Hey, I can't view your site properly within Opera, I actually hope you look into fixing this. Adauga Anunt Gratuit
I dont think we need Hulk services because our problem is not striking but another Mata (playmaker) who can switch numbers with Mata. We are desperately also indeed of a better No.3 cause Cole is poor at delivering crosses. once we get a fast moving midfield goals are going to flow.Romeu has shown he can cover No.6. Strudige is wasteful infront and need to be taught to stop being selfish.
