Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone is enthusiastic about a deal for Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

It emerged over the weekend that Ibrahimovic's agent, Mino Raiola, had contacted Atletico about the prospect of taking on the Swede.

And Don Balon says Simeone is keen, believing the released Manchester United striker's situation suits Atletico.

Ibrahimovic won't be fit until the New Year, which is when Atletico, due to their current transfer ban, will be clear to register players again.

Simeone has made it clear he's interested, though has insisted a deal for Chelsea striker Diego Costa will also happen, no matter whether Ibra arrives or not.
