Diego Simeone wants to make José Ernesto Sosa his first signing as new Atletico Madrid coach.

The former Atletico captain swept in as new coach on the weekend and is already eyeing winter market signings.

Former Bayern Munich attacker Sosa is currently playing in Ukraine with Metalist Kharkiv and has been identified by Simeone as a priority recruit.

The new coach also wants talks with Jose Antonio Reyes in an attempt to dissuade him from quitting for Sevilla when the market opens on January 1.
