Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone is being linked with Manuel Pellegrini's job at Manchester City. The Mail on Sunday says Simeone will emerge as the front-runner to become City's next boss if Pellegrini does not turn the club's fortunes around.
Despite landing the title and the Capital One Cup in his first campaign, there are already mutterings around the club that Pellegrini is not moving the team on, especially given disappointing displays in the Champions League again this season.
If City fail to qualify for the knockout phase and fall away in the Premier League title race then Pellegrini will face the axe at the end of the season.
