Diego Simeone feels football fans would prefer seeing Atletico Madrid become champions.
Atletico are now favourites to win the title ahead of Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Simeone said: "It's not easy to break the stranglehold of two such powerful teams. They deserve everything they have on merit, but we are trying to approach things from a different angle and show society and other clubs that you can compete through persistence and hard work.
"The title race going down to the last two rounds of fixtures is something new, but I'm convinced that whoever wins, the people of Levante and Osasuna see Atlético as a reflection of everything they aspire to be. Fans of teams all across Spain are behind us."
