Atletico Madrid enjoyed a 4-0 victory over Champions League opponents Astana last night.

The win moved them top of Group C ahead of Benfica who lost 2-1 away to Galatasaray.

Saul Niguez, Jackson Martinez, Oliver Torres and a Denis Dedechko own goal earned the three points for Atletico.

Atleti coach Diego Simeone said: "The happiness of the players [after Jackson Martínez's goal] proves the commitment of the group and their affection towards Jackson. I'm sure it will give him confidence.

"Yannick Carrasco played his first UEFA Champions League match as a starter and did well. He is growing. We handled the match well and took advantage of our opportunities.

"I imagine a different match in Astana. It will be tough, completely different. We will go there with the best possible team to win the match."
